A definite "statement necklace." A huge black glass faceted oval cabochon is set in fancy goldtone prongs surrounded by alternating prong-set small black and larger translucent red rhinestones to form the pendant. From there a bell full of chains forms a tassel. The pendant hangs from a necklace of wrapped oval faceted black stones linked to red faceted crystals and fastens with a round goldtone push clasp. The necklace measures a generous 22". Just pendant and tassel length is 4 1/2".

I can find no evidence that is a true Schiaparelli necklace. Most certainly it is not vintage Schiaparelli. It is possible that it is a contemporary necklace made by the company that bought the Schiaparelli name. Nonetheless, it's a gorgeous necklace.

Condition: Good. The large central black cabochon has a fleabite and some light scratches. Otherwise, excellent.
