Crown Trifari sceptre clipback earrings are elegant beyond words. Gold-plated base metal framework supports a royalty of ruby, emerald and clear crystals. French clips. 1 1/4" x 3/4". Circa 1940. Mark: Crown TRIFARI - very odd numbers are lightly, almost imperceptibly inscribed on the backside of one earring which looks to read: C9/245 If anyone has a clue about this, I'd love to hear.
